LEONARDO DA VINCI’s “LAST SUPPER”

The world-famous fresco “The Last Supper”, Leonardo da Vinci’s 15th century masterpiece, covers the north wall of the refectory at the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent next to the church of the same name. In order to keep the fresco well-preserved, visitors must follow certain rules before entering the dining hall. A not-to-be-missed attraction for all visitors to Milan.

SANTA MARIA DELLE GRAZIE CHURCH

The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is one of the most striking monuments of the Lombard Renaissance style. It was built between 1466 and 1490 under the direction of Guiniforte Solari. The church and convent have been listed as part of UNESCO's Worldwide Heritage since 1980.

AMBROSIAN PICTURE GALLERY AND LIBRARY

The name “Ambrosiana” refers to the city’s patron saint, Ambrogio (Ambrose), associated with the religious Ambrosian rite. The gallery is located close to Piazza Duomo and is the oldest museum in Milan. Visitors are not only treated to rare works of national and international art but can also enter the renowned Ambrosian Library, a treasure house of scholarly riches.

CASTELLO SFORZESCO

The Sforzesco castle, one of the most famous monuments in Milan, has been demolished and rebuilt several times, and represents the historical highs and lows of the city. Today, the castle houses several of the city's museum and art gallery collections.
