Milan, one of Europe’s most attractive cities and host to the Expo 2015, was an ideal venue for this well-established event in the M&A calendar. For many decades, the city has been the capital of Italy's financial markets as well as its automobile and fashion industries. To maximise the networking opportunities at the 8th Mid-Market Forum as well as experience all that Milan has to offer, we organised an extensive social programme for delegates and their spouses.

SHOPPING TOURDon’t miss out on Milan’s famous shopping scene! From prestigious boutiques to smaller alternative and traditional shops not to mention department stores, supermarkets, discount outlets and street markets, your personal shopper will be happy to show you around. Via Montenapoleone and the elegant surrounding streets that together with Via della Spiga, Corso Venezia, Via Bigli and Via Manzoni form the high fashion district. Piazza San Babila, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Duomo (including Galleria Vittorio Emanuele) and Via Dante form a pedestrian area with many shops, predominantly clothes, books and media. Other important, though less central shopping streets include Corso Buenos Aires (near the station), Corso XXII Marzo and Corso Vercelli. Via Torino is strong on fashion for the younger set. The Brera district, surrounding the Brera academy and gallery, was once the territory of artists; now they are great shopping areas. Via Fiori Chiari, Via Madonnina and Piazza del Carmine form another attractive pedestrian area with small, interesting shops, and in the evening the area is kept lively with its many bars and cafés. |
